Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy Services
-
Individual Therapy
Therapy sessions are typically 45–60 minutes, most often once a week. Frequency can be adjusted depending on your needs, goals, and schedule.
I primarily work with adults who identify as ADHDers and/or Autistic, and I also support people with other forms of neurodivergence and co-occurring conditions such as sensory processing differences, social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, OCD, and complex PTSD.
My Approach to Therapy
Neurodiversity-affirming – I see ADHD, Autism, and other forms of neurodivergence as natural variations in human experience, not as flaws to “fix.” Together we explore your strengths, challenges, and unique ways of being in the world.
Relational and psychodynamic – Our work often looks at the patterns in your relationships (including the one we create together), your history, and the ways past experiences shape your present.
Humanistic and strengths-based – I believe in your capacity for growth and resilience. Therapy is a space where we can honor your values, identities, and lived experiences.
Mind-body awareness – I invite attention to sensory experiences, emotional cues, and self-regulation strategies, helping you notice and respond to your body’s signals with more compassion.
Practical support – While much of our work is about reflection and meaning-making, I also support skill-building around executive functioning, daily routines, and coping strategies when needed.
What Therapy With Me Is Like
Sessions are conversational and collaborative — a place where you can bring your stories, questions, and emotions without judgment.
We may explore both current stressors and deeper life themes, noticing how they connect.
I use gentle curiosity, reflection, and validation to help you make sense of your experiences and to support change at a pace that feels safe.
Over time, therapy can help you feel more grounded, less burdened by shame or self-criticism, and more connected to yourself and others.
✨ My hope is that therapy feels like a steady place to return to — a space for exploration, understanding, and growth, tailored to the unique ways your mind and heart work.

Seeking an evaluation can be an important step in making sense of your experiences and finding the support you need. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and affirming — designed to help you understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion.
Referrals from healthcare professionals are welcome but not required. When you reach out, I’ll provide information about the process, scheduling, and fees. Before moving forward, we’ll complete a brief pre-screening together. This step makes sure an ADHD or Autism evaluation is a good fit for your needs, since evaluations are a meaningful investment of time and energy. If it turns out that a different path would be more supportive, I can offer referrals and resources.

What to Expect
Pre-screening: a short process to ensure an evaluation is the right step (for example, evaluations aren’t appropriate when there’s untreated substance use or other conditions needing more immediate care).
Collaborative assessment: conversation-based clinical interviews, opportunities for storytelling, and affirming, strengths-based tools.
Comprehensive lens: exploring your history, lived experiences, and the context of your environments, culture, and identity.
Clear documentation: a written summary with diagnostic impressions and recommendations. Completed evaluations can often be used for self-knowledge, workplace adjustments, and college accommodations under the ADA.*
*Each school or workplace may have specific requirements. I can often provide additional letters or forms when requested. Evaluations cannot be used for SSDI, Developmental Disability services, or K–12 IEP/504 plans, which require separate assessments.
My Approach
Strengths-based and person-centered – centering your perspective and lived experience.
Storytelling and sense-making – helping connect the threads of your history and present.
Affirming tools – such as DIVA-5 and MIGDAS-2, designed with adults in mind.
Systems perspective – recognizing how identity, culture, and environment shape experience.
Collaborative exploration – working together to create understanding, rather than reducing you to checklists.
Who Can Diagnose?
In Oregon, Clinical Social Workers are legally qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral conditions — including ADHD and Autism — when they have sufficient training (ORS 675.510, ORS 675.523). These diagnoses are recognized for therapy, self-accommodation, and most workplace and college accommodations under the ADA.
My Training and Experience
I bring both professional training and lived experience to this work. My background includes:
Two years in an ADHD clinic, conducting comprehensive evaluations alongside psychologists and under robust supervision.
Ongoing work with Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD) adults, focusing on relational, strengths-based care.
Specialized training in Autism assessment frameworks, including MIGDAS-2 and the Properties of Light model.
Continuous learning and consultation, staying current with best practices in neurodiversity-affirming care.
Personal lived experience, deepening my understanding of the many ways ADHD and Autism can show up in adulthood.
My goal is not only to clarify whether criteria for ADHD or Autism are met, but to help you make sense of your experiences in a way that feels validating, grounding, and usable in daily life.
Pricing & Fees
Fairness and transparency in pricing is important to me—and important to you too. I want my pricing to feel fair and predictable. Fees for therapy and evaluation are set based on typical prices for therapists in the Portland area with advanced training, and designed to support both accessibility and high-quality care.
Pricing Transparency
Individual Therapy – $180 per 45–60 minute session
Many people who submit superbills to their insurance receive partial reimbursement, often 50–80%. I provide superbills and also offer Thrizer to make this process easier.
Median price of individual therapy in Oregon, and about average for therapy provided by LCSWs providing specialized care.
This fee allows me to provide steady, thoughtful care while also keeping a few sliding scale spots open.
ADHD Evaluations – $1,350
Payment plan: 3 installments of $450 (at booking, mid-process, and before the report).
Please note: insurance may reimburse the face-to-face portion of the evaluation, but report writing is not covered.
Based on my therapy hourly rate plus report writing time.
Includes tools such as the DIVA-5, self-screeners, and collateral interviews.
These evaluations are a bit shorter and less complex than Autism evaluations, which makes them more accessible in both time and cost.
Autism Evaluations – $1,500
Payment plan: 3 installments of $500 (at booking, mid-process, and before the report).
As with ADHD evaluations, insurance may reimburse the face-to-face portion, but report writing is not covered.
Based on my therapy hourly rate plus report writing time.
Includes additional tools such as the MIGDAS-2 and SRS-2, making them more in-depth.
While Autism evaluations are often priced higher, I’ve chosen a rate slightly lower than standard to balance accessibility with sustainability.
Sliding Scale & Insurance
I keep part of my caseload open for sliding scale clients, supported by my standard rates.
Out-of-Network Insurance Support
I partner with Thrizer to make it easier to use your out-of-network insurance benefits.
With Thrizer, you only pay your co-insurance (like an in-network copay) at the time of service.
Thrizer submits the claim and covers the rest of the fee. You don’t have to pay the full session or evaluation cost upfront.
If insurance doesn’t pay, you are never back-billed—Thrizer absorbs the risk.
There’s a small service fee (1–5%), usually less than what clients pay managing reimbursement on their own.
This option can make therapy and evaluations more accessible by lowering upfront costs and removing the burden of paperwork.
FAQ: Can I Use Thrizer With My Insurance?
Thrizer works with most commercial insurance plans that have out-of-network benefits, including many PPO and POS plans from major insurers (like Blue Cross, Cigna, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare).
Thrizer does not work with:
Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan / OHP and CCOs)
Medicare
Strict HMO or EPO plans without out-of-network coverage
If you’re not sure about your plan, Thrizer has a free benefits checker that can confirm coverage before you start.
Thrizer Client Guide
To make the process even easier, I’ve created a step-by-step PDF guide that walks you through:

Good Faith Estimate Notice
Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for services.
You have the right to receive a written estimate of expected charges at least 1 business day before your appointment.
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your estimate, you can dispute it.
Keep a copy of your estimate.
