Neurodivergent-Affirming ADHD & Autism Assessments
Located in Portland, Oregon (Telehealth and in-person)
wondering if you might be autistic or adhd?
I provide comprehensive ADHD and Autism evaluations that are thorough, evidence-based, and follow best practices for neurodivergent-affirming evaluation.
What does the process look like?
The process for getting started with ADHD and Autism evaluations are very similar.
Step one: Screening. Evaluations are significant investment of time, energy, and resources. Before we start, I will ask some screening questions to determine if an ADHD or Autism evaluation is the best place to start—or offer referrals to other supportive services.
This is also a time that you can also ask questions and make considerations about the time commitment and cost.Step two: Scheduling. Once we get started, we’ll talk through scheduling together. Appointments are generally scheduled about once per week, so there is time between sessions to process, rest, and reflect.
For evaluations, some sessions are 60 minutes and others are longer; we can also break longer appointments into shorter visits when that better fits your energy, schedule, or access needs. A deposit is required to reserve these appointments.
Step 3: Gathering important documents and filling out self-screening tools. This is the portion that is the most admin-heavy. I will send ROI forms to request records that may help with the evaluation process. You will also receive self-screening tools that you fill out yourself, such as the ASRS v1.1, PHQ-9, GAD-7, among others. I will also send custom forms for to gain more specific information about your experience. This is also a good time to begin considering who you would want to join as a collateral —where a friend, family member, housemate, teacher, partner, etc… can help share what they have noticed to aid in assessment.
(I recommend connecting with a support system for this step for help with body-doubling, accountability for deadlines, or reflecting on your experiences to jog your memory as you fill out forms).
Step 4: Clinical Interviews
Step 5: Guided/structured interview using diagnostic tools such as the DIVA-5 or MIGDAS-2
Step 6: Collateral
Step 7: Feedback session and reviewing results
Step 8: Receive your comprehensive written report from me!

FAQs
-
ADHD and Autism overlap with many other conditions. A longer process helps reduce misdiagnosis, supports safety if medication is considered, and provides recommendations that reflect the full picture of your needs.
-
Clients receive:
- A written report (10–15+ pages)
- A feedback session to review results
- Recommendations for treatment and accommodations
- Referrals if additional services are needed -
Evaluations are for diagnostic clarity, accommodations, and treatment planning. They are not for SSDI, DD, or forensic purposes. I do not provide crisis services or medication management, but I collaborate with prescribers when appropriate. -
My ADHD and Autism evaluations are private pay services. Some clients are able to receive partial reimbursement from their insurance for portions of the evaluation that involve direct, face-to-face clinical time. Insurance does not reimburse for testing measures or report writing, so those portions are considered out-of-pocket.
